Tunisia confirmed its first case on 2 March 2020, with the victim being a 40-year-old Tunisian man from Gafsa returning from Italy. On 3 July 2020, a total of 1,181 cases of contamination were confirmed, as were 50 deaths and 1,045 people recovered.
