Closer (Joy Division album)

Closer is the second and last studio album by British rock band Joy Division. It was released in July 1980, two months after the suicide of frontman Ian Curtis.

Cover

The cover, which features a tomb at Staglieno Cemetery in Genoa, Italy, was designed by Martyn Atkins and Peter Saville. The photography is by French photographer Bernard Pierre Wolff, who also provided the cover photography for Love Will Tear Us Apart.
