Chelsea Brown — American–Australian actress and comedian

Early life

Chelsea Brown was born on December 6, 1942, in Chicago. Details of her early training and formative years are less documented in public sources than her television work, but like many performers who reached national television in the 1960s she developed skills in comedy, acting and stagecraft that led to regular television appearances.

Career

Brown became known in the late 1960s and early 1970s through television variety and sketch comedy. In the mid-1970s she moved to Australia and expanded her career into local television, taking roles in popular serials. Her appearances on Australian screens included the long-running soap Number 96 in 1977 and, later, the drama series E Street in 1990–1991.
