Career

Castaña wrote and performed songs, composed for other artists, and appeared on stage and screen. Among his acting credits is the 2000 film Merry Christmas, in which he had a notable role. Personal life and death

Castaña was born in Buenos Aires. He died in that city on October 15, 2019, at the age of 77, from complications related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
