Overview

Nissewaard is a municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland. It was created on 1 January 2015 by the merger of the former municipalities of Bernisse and Spijkenisse. The new municipality combines a larger town centre with several smaller villages and rural areas and had a population of about 84,800 residents in 2019.
