Mark Alan Webber (born 27 August 1976 in Queanbeyan, New South Wales) is an Australian former professional racing driver best known for his time in Formula One. A durable competitor, Webber combined raw speed with a reputation for bravery in difficult conditions and a direct personality that made him one of the sport's most recognisable figures in the 2000s and early 2010s.

Early career and rise
Webber progressed through the customary junior categories, beginning in karting and moving on to national and international single-seater championships such as Formula Ford, British Formula 3 and Formula 3000. Strong performances in these series earned him a place on the Formula One grid, where he debuted in the early 2000s and steadily established himself as a race-winning driver.
Formula One highlights
Driving for teams including Minardi, Jaguar, Williams and most notably Red Bull Racing, Webber scored multiple Grand Prix victories. His first triumph came at the 2009 German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, a landmark result that made him the first Australian to win a Grand Prix since Alan Jones in 1981. He recorded further wins and numerous podiums while competing at the front of the championship on several occasions.
Later career and endurance racing
After leaving Formula One at the end of the 2013 season, Webber switched to sports-car racing.
