Judith Malina (June 4, 1926 – April 10, 2015) was a German-born American theater and movie actress, writer, and director.
Malina was born in Kiel and moved to New York City at age three.
She co-founded The Living Theatre. She was active during the 1960s and 1970s. She was known for her roles as Sonny's mother in Dog Day Afternoon, Rose in Awakenings and as Paulie Gualtieri's mother in The Sopranos.
Malina died of lung disease at her home in Englewood, New Jersey, aged 88.
