Mary Carolyn "Jodi" Rell (born Mary Carolyn Reavis; 16 June 1946) is an American politician of the Republican Party. She became the 87th Governor of Connecticut in 2004 and served until 2011. Rell assumed the governorship after the resignation of John G. Rowland and completed his term before serving a full elected term of her own. She is notable as Connecticut's second female governor, following Ella Grasso.
