Robert Gregory "Greg" Evers (June 16, 1955 – August 21, 2017) was an American politician and member of the Republican Party. He represented largely rural communities in Florida's Panhandle for more than a decade, first in the state House of Representatives and later in the Florida Senate. Evers was a prominent figure in his region and was known for advocating conservative positions on behalf of his constituents.

Political career

Evers served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2001 until 2010, when term limits ended his tenure there. He subsequently won election to the Florida Senate, where he served from 2010 to 2016. During his time in the Legislature he focused on issues that affected residents of the Panhandle and other rural areas.

Areas represented and priorities

Evers represented parts of northwest Florida, a region often described as the Panhandle. His legislative priorities reflected the concerns of that region: support for agriculture and small communities, emphasis on public safety and conservative fiscal policies, and attention to local infrastructure and natural resources. He was identified with the Republican caucus and frequently aligned with conservative policy goals.
