Canaan Sodindo Banana (5 March 1936 – 10 November 2003) was a Zimbabwean Methodist minister, theologian, and politician. He was the first President of Zimbabwe from 1980 to 1987.
On 10 November 2003, Banana died of cancer, in London at the age of 67.
