Joseph Edgar Foreman (born July 28, 1974) is an American rapper and musician better known by his stage name Afroman. He was born in Palmdale and raised in California. Afroman rose to wide public attention around 2000 with the novelty single Because I Got High, a song that became both a commercial hit and a staple of stoner-pop culture.
