Vladimir Petrovich Zinchenko (10 August 1931 – 6 February 2014) was a prominent Russian scholar known for his work as a psychologist, an academician and educator, and as a published writer. His academic credentials include a doctoral degree, earned in 1957, and he held editorial leadership of the journal Cultural-Historical Psychology.

Early life and education

Zinchenko was born on 10 August 1931 in Kharkiv, then part of the Soviet Union (present-day Ukraine). He completed advanced study in psychology and received his Ph.D. in 1957.

Career

Over a long career in academia, Zinchenko combined teaching, research and editorial work.
