Paramount Media Networks (formerly known as Warner Cable Communications, Warner-Amex Satellite Entertainment, MTV Networks, Viacom Media Networks, and ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks) is a media company. It was formed in New York City in 1984. Viacom oversees the operations of many television channels and Internet brands. This includes the original MTV (Music Television) channel in the United States. The division is owned by Paramount Global.
