Early life and religious vocation

Pandžić entered the Franciscan Order in 1935 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1941. His formation combined theological study with an interest in historical sources and languages, which later informed his work as an archivist and researcher. Archivist and administrator

From 1947 until 1985 Pandžić served as general archivist and analyst of the Franciscan Order in Rome. In this capacity he supervised the preservation, cataloguing and scholarly use of vast collections of manuscripts, official acts and correspondence. His tenure shaped modern approaches to organizing religious archives and increased international access to Franciscan sources.

Scholarship and contributions

Pandžić wrote and edited numerous studies on church history, the history of the Franciscan Order and related archival subjects. His work combined archival description with historical interpretation and often drew on sources in several languages. Areas frequently associated with his scholarship include:

Pandžić remained active as a writer and consultant into advanced age.
