Overview

Soulce was a former municipality in the district of Delémont within the canton of Jura in Switzerland. It was a small rural settlement typical of the Jura region, with a mix of agricultural land, woodland and village housing. Traditionally the local economy combined small-scale agriculture, forestry and crafts. In the wider Jura region, light manufacturing and precision industries (notably watchmaking) are important, and many residents of small villages commute to nearby towns for work. Today Soulce is administratively part of Haute-Sorne, but the village remains a named locality with its own built heritage and countryside.
