Pearland is a city in the U.S. state of Texas located within the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan region, often referred to as Greater Houston. Most of the community lies in Brazoria County, although city limits extend toward neighboring counties. The 2010 census recorded a population of 91,252; since that count the city has continued to grow and diversify as part of the expanding Houston metropolitan area.
