Paul Gilissen (1934–2020) — Dutch municipal politician

Paul Gilissen was a Dutch mayor and politician, active in the Catholic KVP and later the CDA; he led Valkenburg-area municipalities from 1976 to the early 1990s and is remembered for local public service.

Paulus Petrus Maria "Paul" Gilissen (28 August 1934 – 9 April 2020) was a Dutch politician who spent much of his career in municipal government. Born in Amsterdam, he was active in the Catholic political tradition and served as mayor in several communities in the province of Limburg. His public service spanned the final decades of the 20th century, during a period of administrative reorganization in the Netherlands.
