Meitei language, officially known as Manipuri language, is the official language, the lingua franca and the most widely spoken language of the Indian state of Manipur. It is developed from the Ancient Meitei language. It is also one of the 22 scheduled languages of India.
On 11th May of 2022, Meitei language was supported by Google Translate among 8 newly added Indian languages out of 24 total newly added languages at the same time.
