Lucjan Avgustini (28 August 1963 – 22 May 2016) was an Albanian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as bishop of the Diocese of Sapë. Born in Ferizaj (then part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia), he was active as a priest in the Diocese of Prizren beginning in 1989 and was appointed to lead the Diocese of Sapë in 2006. His episcopal ministry continued until his death in 2016.

Background and early ministry

Avgustini came from a region with a significant Albanian population and began his clerical career at the end of the 1980s. After ordination he carried out pastoral duties in parishes connected to the Diocese of Prizren, a historic Catholic jurisdiction centered in what is now Kosovo. During these early years he was involved in the regular sacramental, pastoral and educational work typical of diocesan priests.

As bishop of Sapë

In 2006 Lucjan Avgustini was named bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sapë, a diocese located in northern Albania. As bishop he was responsible for the spiritual leadership of Catholics in his territory, overseeing clergy, liturgical life, and diocesan institutions. His role also placed him within the hierarchy of the Catholic Church in Albania and the wider region.
