Arminsyah — Indonesian Vice Attorney General (1960–2020)

Arminsyah was an Indonesian lawyer and senior prosecutor who served as Vice Attorney General from 2017 until his death in 2020 and briefly as Acting Attorney General in October 2019.

Arminsyah (3 May 1960 – 4 April 2020) was an Indonesian lawyer and career prosecutor who rose to become the country's Vice Attorney General. Born in Padang, West Sumatra, he spent decades in public service within the Attorney General's Office and was appointed Vice Attorney General in 2017. For a short period in October 2019 he performed the duties of Acting Attorney General during a transition in senior leadership.

Arminsyah's professional life was rooted in the prosecutorial corps. Like many senior figures in the office, he combined legal training with long service in a variety of prosecutorial and administrative positions.
