Kristinia DeBarge

Kristinia DeBarge (born March 8, 1990 in Pasadena, California) is an American pop singer.

Biography

Kristinia DeBarge is the daughter of James DeBarge, the youngest member of the DeBarge family quintet, which had been very successful in the 1980s with Rhythm of the Night, among others. In 2003, she participated in the children's casting show American Juniors, but was eliminated very early. She performed on stage at her father's concerts and continued to pursue a music career of her own. Through an acquaintance with Babyface, she landed a record deal in 2009 and released her debut single Goodbye shortly after, which is a cover of the song Na na hey goodbye by the band Steam from 1969. It proved to be very successful and reached number 15 in the US charts. Her debut album Exposed was released in the summer of 2009 and was able to confirm the success.

DeBarge has been working on their second studio album since 2012. The first single from her new album Cry Wolf was released in September 2012. In March 2013, she released her second single Ignite from the album Young & Restless, which was released exclusively in Japan in May 2013.
