Arboys-en-Bugey is a small commune situated in the Ain department of eastern France. It lies within the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Creation and composition

The municipality was established on 1 January 2016 through the union of two former communes: Arbignieu and Saint-Bois. The merger combined their local councils and administrations into a single local government entity.
