Jia Qinglin (Chinese: 贾庆林; born March 1940) is a retired Chinese politician who served as a 7th Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference from 2003 to 2013.
Jia is an engineer by trade and he began his political career in Fujian distric in 1985. He gain popularity during the Yuanhua scandal. In 1996, he became a mayor and then party chief of Beijing. Jia was later included in the Politburo in 1997. He retired in 2013.
