Event, technique and training

The shot put is a power and technique event in track and field in which the athlete "puts" (pushes) a heavy spherical shot as far as possible. Successful competitors combine explosive leg drive, core rotation and precise release. Throughout his career Brabec relied on a disciplined training regime focused on strength, explosive lifts and throwing drills that are common among elite putters.
