Heinävesi
Heinävesi [ˈhɛi̯nævɛsi] is a municipality in Finland.
It is located in landscape South Savo. The municipality has 3196 inhabitants (31 December 2020) on an area of 1319.1 km² with water areas of 288.7 km².
Part of the Kolovesi National Park is located on the territory of the commune.
The Varistaipale canal is the canal with the greatest difference in altitude in Finland.
The orthodox women's monastery Lintula has existed since 1895 and the orthodox men's monastery Uusi Valamo since 1940.
