Hale County, Texas
Hale County is a rural county on the High Plains of Texas. The county seat and largest city is Plainview. The area has an agricultural economy and a history tied to settlement of the Llano Estacado.

It is a predominantly rural county whose landscape is part of the flat, elevated expanse known as the Llano Estacado. According to the 2010 census the county had 36,273 residents. Hale County features broad, level plains and semi-arid grasslands typical of the southern High Plains. Soils and irrigation practices have made much of the county suitable for large-scale farming.
