Ernie Colón (July 13, 1931 – August 8, 2019) was an American cartoonist and illustrator celebrated for a long career across multiple comic-book genres. He produced work ranging from lighthearted children's comics to mature, politically conscious graphic non-fiction. Early in his career he attracted attention for clear, expressive line work and a capacity to shift style to suit subject matter, contributing to both popular and niche titles in the industry.
