Elkin Ramírez (Elkin Fernando Ramírez Zapata; 26 October 1962 – 29 January 2017) was a Colombian singer-songwriter and prominent rock vocalist. Born in Medellín, Antioquia, he became best known as the long-time lead singer of the rock band Kraken. Over three decades he helped shape a distinctive voice for Spanish-language rock in Colombia and remained a recognizable figure on stage and in recordings.
