Elgg is a municipality in the district of Winterthur in the canton of Zurich, located in northeastern Switzerland. Geography and subdivisions

History and development

On 1 January 2018 the former municipality of Hofstetten bei Elgg was merged into Elgg, enlarging its administrative area and community.
