Alireza Soleimani Karbalaei (Persian: علیرضا سلیمانی کربلایی, 2 February 1956 – 21 May 2014) was an Iranian superheavyweight competitor in freestyle wrestling. He is most widely remembered for winning the gold medal in the superheavyweight class at the 1989 World Wrestling Championships, becoming the first Iranian to claim a world title in that weight category.
