Chynna Marie Rogers (August 19, 1994 – April 8, 2020), known professionally as Chynna, was an American rapper, disc jockey and model from Philadelphia. Beginning her public career as a fashion model in her teens, she later moved into music and DJing, gaining recognition for candid lyrics and a confessional delivery.

Early life and modeling

Rogers was discovered as a teenager and signed with Ford Models at about 14. She worked in fashion before turning her attention to music, a transition that informed her aesthetic and public persona.
