Administration and later life

Following his years as an active jumper, Mohn assumed leadership roles within Norway's skiing community. As president of the Norwegian Ski Federation (1978–1980) he was part of an era focused on athlete development, international competition planning, and maintaining Norway's strong tradition in Nordic skiing. The federation president typically works on policy, event coordination and representing national interests in international bodies; Mohn's election to that post reflects recognition by peers of his experience in the sport.

Significance and context

Mohn's competitive results came during a period when ski jumping techniques, equipment and hill construction were evolving and the sport was consolidating under international governance. Norway long produced many leading jumpers, and Mohn is remembered as both a competitor who reached top-tier results and as an official who continued to shape the sport domestically. He died on 31 December 2018 at the age of 92.
