Akkineni Nageswara Rao (20 September 1923 – 22 January 2014) was an Indian movie actor and producer. He worked in the Telugu cinema. He became a famous stage artiste. He was known for playing female characters because women at that time were prohibited from acting.
Rao died on 22 January 2014 in Hyderabad from cancer aged 90.
