Career overview
Livingston began acting in supporting roles on television and in independent films before reaching a wider audience at the end of the 1990s. His dry, understated delivery made the reluctant corporate worker Peter Gibbons a memorable comic lead in Office Space, a film that has since become a cult favorite. He followed that breakthrough with dramatic work on television, notably in the acclaimed World War II miniseries Band of Brothers.
Throughout the 2000s and 2010s he continued to alternate between film and television projects, taking roles in genre pictures such as The Conjuring as well as character-driven dramas. Livingston’s casting as Henry Allen placed him in a major superhero franchise, appearing in the 2023 DC Extended Universe film The Flash.
