Administrative history

Until the early 21st century Bollion was treated as an independent locality for administrative and statistical purposes. On 1 January 2006 the locality underwent an administrative reorganisation: Bollion and the nearby village of Seiry were incorporated into the larger municipal structure of Lully. Since that merger Bollion has been governed as part of the municipality of Lully within the Broye district.

Characteristics and landscape

The village is typical of Broye plain settlements: low-density housing, family farms, and small hamlets surrounded by cultivated fields.
