Martin Trevor Heinrich (born October 17, 1971) is an American politician who has served as a United States Senator from New Mexico since 2013. He represented New Mexico's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2009 to 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, Heinrich is known for focusing on issues affecting the state’s public lands, energy policy, and infrastructure.

Early life and career

Heinrich grew up in the Southwestern United States and later established his career in New Mexico.
