Joseph "Joey" Fatone Jr. (born January 28, 1977) is an American singer, dancer, actor and television personality best known for his role as the baritone voice of the pop group NSYNC. Over three decades he has moved between recording and live performance, reality television and hosting duties, maintaining a visible presence in popular entertainment.
Early life and rise with NSYNC
Fatone was born in Brooklyn and raised in Orlando, where he became involved in the local performance scene as a teenager. He joined the boy band that became NSYNC alongside members such as Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez. The group rose to international fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with chart-topping albums and singles, notable for tight harmonies, polished choreography and large-scale tours. Fatone contributed the lower harmony parts and an energetic stage persona that contrasted with the group's lead vocalists.
Music, tours and recorded work
With NSYNC, Fatone participated in albums and tours that helped define late-1990s pop. The band released multiple high-selling records and hit singles that received heavy radio and television rotation. Though NSYNC put its recording activity largely on hold after the early 2000s while members pursued solo projects, the group left a lasting influence on mainstream pop music and boy-band production values.
Television, stage and film
After NSYNC's initial run, Fatone expanded into television and stage work. He reached a wide audience as a contestant on the ABC dance competition Dancing with the Stars, finishing as runner-up in his season. He has worked as a host and announcer on a variety of programs, including U.S. and Australian editions of The Singing Bee and as the announcer on the syndicated game show Family Feud from 2010 to 2015. Other hosting credits include programs on the Food Network and Live Well Network, and live-show engagements in Las Vegas.

The group's influence on pop production and touring is often noted in discussions of late-20th-century pop acts.
Personal life and later activity
Outside of performance he has participated in reunion and nostalgia events tied to his bandmates' careers and has maintained a variety of media projects.
