Donald Frank Cheadle Jr. (born November 29, 1964) is an American actor, producer, director and writer whose career spans film, television and humanitarian work. Known for his versatility, Cheadle has moved between dramatic parts, ensemble comedies and blockbuster franchises while also directing and producing. He received wide critical attention for his portrayal of Paul Rusesabagina in Hotel Rwanda (2004), which earned him an Academy Award nomination, and won a Golden Globe for his television role in House of Lies.
