Alexander Sulzer (born May 30, 1984) is a German professional ice hockey player who occupies the defenceman position. Over his career he has split time between Germany’s top league and the National Hockey League in North America.

Club career

Sulzer has spent significant portions of his career in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, representing clubs such as the Hamburg Freezers and the DEG Metro Stars. He later returned to play for Düsseldorfer EG, continuing his career in the same German top division (DEL).

Time in the NHL

In North America Sulzer appeared in the NHL with several teams. His NHL clubs include the Nashville Predators, the Florida Panthers, the Vancouver Canucks and the Buffalo Sabres. On February 25, 2011, he was traded to the Florida Panthers in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
