Patrick Alan Nunnelee (October 9, 1958 – February 6, 2015) was an American politician best known for representing Mississippi's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011 until his death in 2015. A member of the Republican Party, Nunnelee had previously served many years in the Mississippi State Senate. He was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi, and remained connected to his home region throughout his public life; he died in Tupelo after a battle with brain cancer.
