Sohee entered the entertainment industry as a trainee in her early teens. Like many K-pop idols, her training combined vocal lessons, dance practice and on-camera experience. Her youthful image and stage presence helped her attract attention as Wonder Girls rose to national popularity. She is commonly described in media profiles by her mononym, Sohee.
Music career with Wonder Girls
Sohee debuted with the group commonly known as the Wonder Girls, a band that drew public notice for catchy pop songs and retro concepts. During her time with the group she performed on televised music shows, variety programs and live stages. Her work with the group introduced her to a wide audience and provided the platform for later opportunities in acting and entertainment beyond music.
Acting career
After leaving the idol spotlight, Sohee redirected her career toward acting. She has taken both supporting and leading roles in films and television, moving gradually from smaller parts to more substantial dramatic work. Among her better-known screen credits are roles in the zombie action film Train to Busan (2016) and the drama film Single Rider (2017). Critics and audiences have noted her ability to adapt to different genres, from mainstream thrillers to intimate character pieces.
