Waregem is a municipality in the Belgian province of West Flanders. It lies at approximately 50°53′N, 3°26′E and combines both urban and rural characteristics. The town serves as a local centre for commerce, light industry and services, and had a population of about 35,800 in 2007. Administratively it is treated as a municipality within the Flemish Region.
