Vanuatu national football team

History and development

Football in Vanuatu developed alongside social and educational institutions during the 20th century. In the OFC Nations Cup the team has qualified for the later stages several times, reaching the semifinals on a number of occasions. Vanuatu has entered FIFA World Cup qualifying rounds but has not qualified for a final tournament to date, and therefore has not appeared at a FIFA World Cup proper (FIFA World Cup).
