Saint-Martin-Don was a small commune located in the Calvados department of northwestern France. It lay within the area formerly administered as the region Basse-Normandie; since 2016 that territory has been part of the larger Normandy region following national regional reorganisation.
Administrative change
On 1 January 2016 Saint-Martin-Don was merged into the newly created commune of Souleuvre-en-Bocage. From that date it ceased to exist as an independent municipal entity and became one of the constituent localities of the merged commune.
Location and character
The locality is situated in the inland part of Calvados, a department known for its patchwork of hedged fields and small villages. As a former rural municipality, Saint-Martin-Don shared administrative services and local governance with neighbouring settlements before the 2016 consolidation.
