Career and I kosekroken

Tangen's work appeared at a time when television was still new in Norway. I kosekroken (literally "The Cozy Corner") introduced a gentle, homey format for young viewers and used simple stories, songs and direct address to children. The programme established a model for weekday and weekend children's shows that followed and demonstrated how television could be adapted to preschool and early-elementary audiences.
