Pavel Vranský — Czech brigadier general and World War II veteran

Early life

Vranský was born in the town of Lipník nad Bečvou in what was then Czechoslovakia. Like many young Czechs of his generation, the outbreak of World War II and the occupation of Czechoslovakia compelled him to join the expatriate military formations that formed to continue the struggle abroad.
