Josip Friščić (15 August 1949 – 23 January 2016) was a Croatian politician best known for leading the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) and for serving in senior parliamentary office. His public profile combined regional political influence in northern Croatia with national roles in party leadership and parliamentary administration.

Friščić was born in Subotica Podravska, a village near Rasinja in what was then the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
