James Ronald McDaniels (April 2, 1948 – September 6, 2017) was an American professional basketball player. He was born in Scottsville, Kentucky. McDaniels was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in the second round of the 1971 NBA draft and by the Utah Stars in the ABA Draft, but he began his professional career with the Carolina Cougars of the American Basketball Association.
McDaniels died in Bowling Green, Kentucky on September 6, 2017 from a long-illness at the age of 69.
