Irving is a suburban city located in Dallas County, Texas, and forms part of the larger Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. As recorded in the 2010 U.S. census, Irving had a population of 225,427, making it one of the larger cities in the state. History and development

The community that became Irving grew during the early 20th century and expanded rapidly with the postwar boom and the development of nearby airports and highways.
