Hyacinth Gabriel Tungutalum (14 August 1946 – 7 April 2009) was an Australian politician and community leader from the Tiwi Islands. In 1974 he became the first Indigenous Australian elected to a state or territory parliament when he won the seat of Tiwi in the newly created Northern Territory Legislative Assembly. He served as a member of the Country Liberal Party and represented the interests of the Tiwi community during his term.
